INQA-Coaching: Requirements and process explained for SMEs
INQA-Coaching supports the introduction of AI and digitalization in small and medium-sized enterprises with a subsidy of up to 80% – up to €11,520 for 12 consulting days. We explain who is eligible for funding and what the process looks like in practice.
The well-known problem: introducing AI needs support, not just software
Buying a new tool is the easy part. The difficult part is introducing it in a way that it is actually used in day-to-day work. INQA-Coaching funds exactly this support – not the software itself, but the structured introduction.
What INQA-Coaching covers
- Up to 80 % subsidy for coaching costs
- Up to €11,520 funding for 12 consulting days
- Financed by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) from funds of the ESF Plus
Who is eligible for funding
SMEs based in Germany with a place of business in Germany, at least one full-time employee subject to social security contributions, and fewer than 250 employees. Annual turnover may not exceed €50 million, and the company must have existed for at least two years. Freelancers and non-profit organisations are also eligible for funding.
Practical example: From the initial consultation to the final meeting
A care service provider wants to simplify staff scheduling with AI support, but does not know where to start. As an authorised INQA coach, bettersorted coordinates with the responsible advisory centre, carries out the coaching and supports the company through to the final meeting – including practical implementation in day-to-day operations.
Frequently asked questions about INQA-Coaching
What distinguishes INQA-Coaching from traditional business consulting?
INQA-Coaching is explicitly designed to introduce new ways of working and technologies within the team, not for pure strategy consulting.
How long does a coaching process take?
Typically, 12 consulting days spread over several months so that the new processes become established in everyday work.
Can INQA-Coaching be combined with other funding programs?
A combination with other programs must be reviewed on a case-by-case basis – we clarify this together with you.
Does the whole team have to take part?
No, but involving the employees who will later use the new processes significantly increases the success rate.
