INQA Coaching in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: 80% funding and what can be combined here

INQA Coaching supports Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with 80% of the costs of a guided digitalization project – up to €11,520 for twelve coaching days and a contribution of €2,880. The funding rate is the same nationwide; the special feature in MV is that the BAFA consulting grant also applies here at the full rate of 80%.

Three programs that can be used one after another in MV

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is one of the structurally weak regions within the meaning of the BAFA funding guideline. That is why a combination is possible here that does not work in the same way in Hamburg or Schleswig-Holstein:

• INQA Coaching – 80%, up to €11,520. The focus is on participatory implementation within the team, up to twelve coaching days.
• BAFA consulting grant – in MV 80% on a calculation basis of €3,500, i.e. up to €2,800 grant. In the old federal states, it is only 50%. Limited until 31/12/2026.
• Digitalization Funding MV (TBI) – 50% grant for digitalization projects by SMEs from manufacturing, crafts, or tourism with fewer than 100 employees and an establishment in MV.

The programs are not applied at the same time to the same service, but are sensibly staggered: first the analysis and concept development, then the supported implementation, then the investment in execution. Which sequence is appropriate in each individual case depends on the project.

Why the program is a good fit for businesses in MV

The economy in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is strongly fragmented – many businesses with fewer than 50 employees, few large companies, and a noticeable shortage of skilled workers in crafts, care, tourism, and hospitality. It is precisely at this size that there is typically a lack of internal capacity to manage a digitalization project alongside day-to-day operations.

INQA-Coaching starts here because it does not just introduce technology, but brings the team along: the solutions developed are tested in the business, not handed over as a concept. For businesses that do not have their own IT department, this is the key difference from traditional consulting.

Non-profit organizations are also eligible for funding

• Less than 250 employees
• Annual revenue of at most €50 million or annual balance sheet total of at most €43 million
• At least a full-time position subject to social security contributions
• For at least two years in the market
• Registered office and place of work in Germany – including freelance professions and non-profit organizations

Notable for MV: Also freelance professions and non-profit organizations are eligible for funding. For the many social service providers, care services and educational institutions in the state, INQA-Coaching is therefore one of the few open doors to subsidized digitalization consulting.

A typical case from MV: A non-profit provider with 45 employees at three locations loses time through shift scheduling by phone chain and documentation on paper. In the coaching, the teams work together to identify which processes are actually being duplicated. The result is not a major system rollout, but a streamlined digital shift scheduling solution plus a structured filing system that the employees can maintain themselves. Own contribution for twelve days: 2,880 €.

Frequently asked questions about INQA-Coaching in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Is the funding rate in MV higher than in other federal states?

Not for INQA Coaching — the 80% rate applies uniformly nationwide. For BAFA consulting funding, however, it does: in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the rate is 80% instead of 50% because the state is classified as a structurally weak region.

Can I use INQA Coaching and the Digitalization Funding MV at the same time?

Not for the same service, but one after the other for different project phases. INQA Coaching supports the consulting and implementation, while Digitalization Funding MV is aimed at the digitalization project itself. The TBI issues this program in time-limited funding calls — the current status should be checked before submitting a project outline.

Does the program also apply to businesses in rural areas?

Yes. There is no minimum size of the town and no restriction to major urban centers. What matters are company size, revenue, and two years on the market. Coaching days can be combined on-site and digitally, which is especially practical in a large rural state like Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Who submits the application?

The process goes through an INQA advisory center, which checks eligibility for funding and issues the consultation voucher. As an authorized INQA coach, we coordinate with the advisory center and support you through the process until the final meeting.
