Why does bettersorted rely on open-source software?

Because it keeps you in control: the source code can be audited, the software runs on servers in Germany or on your premises, and you pay for setup and operation instead of per-user licences. You can switch providers at any time.
Are the tools GDPR-compliant?

The tools are software; how they are operated is what makes their use GDPR-compliant. We host on servers in Germany or in your network, so personal data never leaves the scope of the GDPR. Any external services we connect are reviewed individually.
What does using n8n, Nextcloud or Paperless-ngx cost?

The software itself has no per-user licence fees. Costs arise for servers, setup, integration and operation. In Germany, implementation and consulting can often be subsidised through BAFA or INQA funding.
Where do bettersorted's solutions run?

Depending on your requirements: in German data centres of IONOS, OVHcloud (Limburg) or STRATO, on servers operated by bettersorted, or directly on a server at your premises (on-premise). We use language models via the IONOS AI Model Hub in Germany or locally.
Does bettersorted only work with these tools?

No. These tools are our standard because they are proven and work well together – mostly open source, complemented by European services such as Langdock. We connect existing systems such as ERP, CRM, DATEV or Microsoft 365 instead of replacing them.
