HostingOn-premise operation for businesses
On-premise means that we install the solution – such as n8n, Paperless-ngx, Open WebUI, Qdrant or a local language model – directly on a server in your company. Your data does not leave your network. This is the right choice if data protection, professional secrecy or internal requirements preclude external processing.

- Operation
- At your location
What we use On-premise operation for
Subject to professional secrecy
Law firms, practices and advice centres with data that is particularly worthy of protection.
Local AI
Language models on their own hardware, without texts leaving the house.
Connection of internal systems
Direct access to network drives, databases and specialist applications in your own network.
Use existing hardware
Continue to use existing servers where they are sufficient.
Why On-premise operation?
Maximum data sovereignty
Everything runs on your network.
No ongoing cloud costs
Hardware is yours; costs for models per request are eliminated.
Easy for data protection
No order processing by a hoster for the data itself.
Same tools
The same open-source tools as in the cloud.
What we take care of with On-premise operation
- Testing your hardware or recommending new
- Installation and protection in the network
- Backup concept
- Remote maintenance and updates by appointment
- Training your IT or team
Implementation and consulting can often be subsidised through German BAFA or INQA funding.
What it is not meant for
You are responsible for power, cooling, physical security, and spare parts. Powerful language models need graphics cards with a lot of memory. Without regular updates and tested backups, on-premise installation is riskier than a well-operated cloud.
Frequently asked questions about On-premise operation
What does on-premise mean?
+−
The software runs on hardware in your own house instead of at a hoster. Data does not leave your network.
What hardware do I need for local AI?
+−
For applications such as n8n or Paperless-ngx, a normal server is sufficient. For local language models, a graphics card with enough memory is required; gpt-oss-20b, for example, runs on 16 GB.
Who maintains the installation?
+−
By arrangement, we can use remote access or your IT. Regular updates and tested backups are important.
Is on-premise more expensive than cloud?
+−
In the beginning, usually yes, because of the hardware. Over the term, it can be cheaper because there are no ongoing cloud and model costs.
